Pink and Purple Pony-ness

One of the greatest blessings of this move was being able to see my kids more often. And yes, with only a few days under our belt here, we were thrilled to see some Coloradoans on our doorstep! MY FAVORITE ONES...

We just moved some boxes over and let everyone in.....we had a special occasion to celebrate!

ELLA TURNED THREE!!
and we had some party making to do.

Alicia and Brian came up from Provo (he is our new " BYU Masters Degree" guy) and they brought our newest BYU coed...Rachel. They can make a mean Pica De Guyo (SP!!!) Some party decorations came in the form of "Let's help Dad with the new flat screen television." Thanks to Steven for loaning his brain and brawn for that one!

We asked our best photographers to come and snap the event...the tension was building and it was about more than the three year old to be could handle...and well everyone else wanted cake.

She opened lots of pink packages and got lots of ponies...

We sang, we ate cake, we laughed a bunch and Ella rode away into a pink and purple sunset.
(Well only to the deck and back...) What a perfect day! HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY ELLA!!

Ella is adorable--she reminds me of another blonde I used to know who was wild about horses! Mom said her "new" home never felt like it was home until she had a holiday in it--so I guess it is official "Welcome to Utah"

Your new house looks beautiful-can't wait to come over for dinner-haha! I can't believe Ella is 3-she's so cute! We're so glad to have you in Utah so we can see you more!

Haaaappy Birthday Ella! Livi loves the pink pony theme and has requested a pony cake for her next birthday. I'm not sure I've got the artistic talent that you cake-makers over there have.

I'm so happy for you that you're closer to family. And how nice it is to have your mom so close to college you can run home for birthday cake!!
